How to export your data from Semrush

Semrush has no single 'export all data' button — you export report by report (Site Audit, Organic Rankings/Research, Domain Overview, Position Tracking, Backlinks, etc.) using each tool's own Export button, in CSV, Excel (XLSX), Google Sheets, CSV-semicolon, or PDF, depending on the report.

Formats: CSV, CSV (semicolon), Excel (XLSX), Google Sheets, PDFPlan: Works on any paid plan (Pro, Guru, Business), but the number of rows you can export per report and the number of exports per day is capped by your subscription tier; some reports (e.g. Domain Overview's Growth and Compare by Countries, Organic Rankings' Topics) require Guru or Business to even open, so also to export.Role: No special workspace-owner/admin role is documented for exporting — any user with access to the project/tool can export; limits are tied to the account's subscription, not to a user role.

Step by step

1Open the specific tool or report you want data from (e.g. Site Audit, Organic Rankings/Organic Research, Domain Overview, Position Tracking, or Backlinks) — there is no account-wide export screen.
2For list-style reports (Organic Rankings' Positions, Position Changes, Competitors, Pages, Subdomain; Position Tracking's Overview, Rankings Distribution, Pages, Competitors Discovery, Devices & Locations, Featured Snippets): click the Export button in the top right of the results table and choose Excel, CSV, CSV-semicolon, or Google Sheets.
3For Site Audit: click the export button at the top right of the screen, then pick a data set — Crawled Pages, Crawled Pages with Issues, Crawled Pages with Markup, or Issues — and choose whether URLs are exported as relative or absolute before downloading.
4For Domain Overview: use the Excel, CSV, or PDF export options; Excel gives full data tables with metrics, PDF gives a presentable one-off report.
5For 'Overview'-type reports that can't be exported to a table (e.g. Organic Rankings Overview, Backlinks Overview, Site Audit tabs), click the PDF button instead — for Site Audit, navigate to the specific tab first so that tab's PDF is generated.
6To combine data from multiple tools (Organic Rankings, Backlinks, Position Tracking, GA4, Search Console, etc.) into one branded report, use the My Reports tool to build a custom PDF and optionally schedule it to be emailed on a recurring basis.
7Repeat this per project/campaign and per tool — each Site Audit campaign, Position Tracking campaign, and domain report has to be exported separately since Semrush does not offer a single bulk-export-everything action.

✗Historical data beyond what a given tool stores/displays for your project (e.g. Position Tracking history) is limited by your plan, not exposed as a raw archive
✗Billing history, user/team account settings, and API keys are not part of any of these tool-level exports
