How to export your data from Statuspage
Statuspage lets page admins export subscriber lists in CSV or JSON format, and (on audience-specific pages) export the full user/access list as a CSV. There is no single "export all account data" button — incidents, components, and page design are not covered by these exports.
✓ Verified against Statuspage's official documentation, October 2026
Step by step
- 1Click 'Subscribers' in the left sidebar of your Statuspage dashboard.
- 2Click 'Export subscribers'.
- 3Select which subscriber types to include: email, SMS, or webhook.
- 4Choose CSV or JSON as the output format.
- 5Click 'Export subscribers' — the file is emailed to you, it is not an instant download.
- 6If you run an audience-specific page and want user/access data too, go to 'Audience' in the left sidebar, click 'Options', then 'Export all users'.
- 7Stay on or return to the Audience page to check export progress, then download the CSV once it's finished.
What the export includes
- ✓Email subscriber list
- ✓SMS subscriber list
- ✓Webhook subscriber list
- ✓For audience-specific pages: basic user info plus their access to groups and metrics, and their subscription configuration
What it doesn't include
- ✗Slack subscribers (cannot be exported at all)
- ✗Incident and maintenance history / postmortems
- ✗Component list, status, and uptime history
- ✗Page design, custom CSS/HTML, and branding
- ✗Integration configurations (Slack, PagerDuty, Jira, etc.) and API keys
- ✗Billing history
Before you start
- ⚠Subscriber export is not a direct download — results are emailed to you after you submit the request.
- ⚠You must pick one output format (CSV or JSON) per export request, and manually select which subscriber types (email/SMS/webhook) to include.
- ⚠Slack subscribers can't be exported in any format.
- ⚠Audience-specific user export only works if the page is already set up as an audience-specific page; it will not work for a standard subscriber list.
- ⚠The audience-specific export runs as a background job — you can navigate away and come back to the Audience page later to grab the finished CSV.
- ⚠There is no built-in bulk export for incidents, components, or page settings; recreating those on a new platform means rebuilding them manually or pulling data via the Statuspage API.
Where to take your data
Free and cheaper tools that can take a Statuspage export. See all Statuspage alternatives →
Instatus
Use the exported subscriber CSV/JSON to re-add subscriber emails via Instatus's subscriber import/add feature; components and incident history must be recreated manually since Statuspage doesn't export those.
Better Stack Status
Import the subscriber CSV into Better Stack's status page subscriber list; rebuild components, incident templates, and integrations manually.
Upptime
Upptime is a GitHub-based static status page without a subscriber database import; instead, re-add subscriber emails to whatever notification channel you configure (e.g., email/Slack via GitHub Actions), using the exported CSV as your source list.
Exporting from Statuspage: common questions
Can I export my full Statuspage incident history?+
There's no dedicated bulk export button for incidents in the official docs — only subscriber lists (CSV/JSON) and, for audience-specific pages, the user/access list (CSV) are exportable this way. Incident data would need to be pulled via the Statuspage API or recreated manually.
Why wasn't my subscriber export file downloaded immediately?+
Statuspage emails the export file to you after processing rather than offering an instant in-browser download.
Can I export Slack subscribers?+
No. Statuspage's documentation explicitly states that Slack subscribers can't be exported.
What's the difference between 'Export subscribers' and 'Export all users'?+
'Export subscribers' (under Subscribers) covers email, SMS, and webhook subscribers on a regular status page. 'Export all users' (under Audience) only applies to audience-specific pages and additionally includes each user's group/metric access and subscription setup.
Do I need a specific plan to export data from Statuspage?+
The subscriber export documentation doesn't mention a plan restriction, but the audience-specific user export only works if you already have an audience-specific page set up, which is a separate paid page type.
Can I bring my component and incident design over to another status page tool?+
Not via export — Statuspage doesn't provide a file export for components, incident templates, or page design/branding, so these need to be rebuilt manually (or scripted via the API) on whichever alternative you choose.
