How to export your data from SE Ranking
SE Ranking has no single "export all my data" button — you export report-by-report, from the tool that generated it. The two most useful exports for teams leaving the platform are the Backlink Checker (backlinks and referring domains, as CSV or XLS) and the AI Results Tracker's Sources tab (as Excel or CSV); other modules like Rankings, Website Audit, and Lead Insights follow the same per-tool Export-button pattern.

Step by step
- 1To export backlink data: open the Backlink Checker tool and run a search for your domain (Domain with subdomains, Exact URL, or Domain without subdomains).
- 2Go to the Referring Domains or Backlinks tab, use the Columns button to choose which fields you want in the file, and apply any Filters to narrow the list.
- 3Click the Export button (found under both the Referring Domains and Backlinks tabs) and save the report as CSV or XLS.
- 4For a complete backlink list rather than a preview sample, click "Check all parameters" to run a full backlink analysis first — note this is a paid step on every plan, and you'll see the cost before confirming.
- 5To export AI visibility data: go to Projects > AI Results Tracker > Sources.
- 6Select the AI platform (Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Perplexity), a date range, and the prompts you want data for.
- 7Optionally use Columns and filters to control which metrics appear in the table.
- 8Click Export in the upper-right corner and download the Sources table as Excel or CSV.
What the export includes
- ✓Backlink Checker: individual backlinks and referring domains with Domain Trust, Page Trust, anchor text, target URL, link type (dofollow/nofollow), toxicity score, first/last seen dates
- ✓AI Results Tracker Sources: domains/pages cited by AI platforms, pages-per-domain, AI-answer counts, prompt coverage, your brand mention rate, Domain Trust, backlinks/referring domains for each source
- ✓Whatever columns you've selected to display in the table at export time
What it doesn't include
- ✗A single account-wide or workspace-wide backup/export covering all projects, tools, and settings at once
- ✗Columns you've hidden from the table view (the export mirrors what's visible, not the full underlying dataset)
- ✗Complete backlink coverage unless you've paid for and run the full backlink analysis on that domain first
- ✗Account/user/billing configuration, integration credentials, or historical invoices
Before you start
- ⚠Backlink checks are rate-limited per subscription plan; going over your limit is billed at an overage fee of $1 per report.
- ⚠A full backlink analysis (needed for the most complete backlink list) is a separate paid feature regardless of which plan you're on, and you're shown the cost before it runs.
- ⚠Exports are scoped to the tab/tool you're in (e.g., Backlinks vs. Referring Domains, or Rankings vs. Sources) — there's no one-click export of everything.
- ⚠The exported table only contains the columns and filters you've applied in the UI, so double-check Columns before exporting if you need specific fields.

Exporting from SE Ranking: common questions
Can I export all my SE Ranking data in one file?+
No. SE Ranking doesn't publish a single account-wide export. You export each tool's report separately — for example, backlinks/referring domains from the Backlink Checker, or source domains from the AI Results Tracker — each as its own CSV or XLS/Excel file.
What file formats does SE Ranking export to?+
CSV and XLS for backlink data, and Excel/CSV for AI Results Tracker Sources data. Other tools follow the same CSV/XLS pattern via their own Export buttons.
Is there a limit on how many backlinks I can check and export?+
Yes. Your plan includes a set number of free backlink checks; exceeding it triggers a $1 overage fee per report, and pulling a complete backlink list requires running (and paying for) a full backlink analysis.
Do I need to be an admin to export data?+
SE Ranking's documentation doesn't call out a specific role requirement for these exports — any user with access to the project or tool in question can click Export.
Will my exported data include hidden table columns?+
No. The export reflects the columns you've currently selected to display via the Columns button, so review that setting before exporting if you need specific metrics.
