How to export your data from Paddle
Paddle lets you export your account data as CSV reports (transactions, subscriptions, adjustments, products/prices, discounts, checkouts, payouts) via the dashboard's Reports screen or the Paddle API. There's no single 'export my whole workspace' button — you generate one report per data type, each filtered by date range and other criteria.
✓ Verified against Paddle's official documentation, October 2026
Step by step
- 1Log in to the Paddle dashboard and go to Paddle > Reports
- 2Under the 'Build reports' tab, pick a report type (transactions, transaction line items, adjustments, adjustment line items, products and prices, discounts, checkouts, subscriptions, or payout reconciliation) and click 'Build report'
- 3Use the filter options to narrow the data (e.g. date range, status) — if you skip filters, Paddle defaults to data updated in the last calendar month
- 4Click 'Generate report' — the report is created as 'pending' while Paddle processes it
- 5Wait for the email from Paddle telling you the report is ready (data can be delayed up to 24 hours), or poll the report status via the API
- 6Click 'Download report' in the email, or request a download URL via the API (the link expires after 3 minutes, so fetch it right before downloading)
- 7Repeat for each report type you need — reports are generated one type/filter combination at a time
- 8Download within 14 days — reports expire and are no longer available after that
What the export includes
- ✓Transactions: revenue received, past due invoices, draft/issued invoices, canceled transactions
- ✓Transaction line items: the same transaction data broken down per line item
- ✓Adjustments: refunds, credits, chargebacks
- ✓Adjustment line items: adjustments broken down per line item
- ✓Products and prices
- ✓Discounts
- ✓Checkouts: conversion data for checkout performance
- ✓Subscriptions: status, items, billing cycle, billing dates
- ✓Payout reconciliation: how payout amounts were calculated
What it doesn't include
- ✗No single full-account/workspace export — only the specific report types listed above
- ✗No JSON export option — reports are CSV only
- ✗Account configuration such as webhook settings, API keys, team/user accounts, and checkout UI customization are not part of any CSV report
- ✗Balance reports are deprecated in favor of payout reconciliation reports
- ✗Data updated in the last 24 hours may not yet appear on a report
Before you start
- ⚠Reports are generated asynchronously and can take time depending on data volume — you'll get an email when ready
- ⚠Generated CSV files are only available to download for 14 days
- ⚠The API download URL expires 3 minutes after you request it, so request it right before downloading
- ⚠If you don't set filters, reports default to data updated in the last calendar month, not all-time data
- ⚠CSV files use UTF-8/Unicode encoding with commas as the delimiter
- ⚠Reports are sorted/filtered by last-updated date, not creation date — e.g. an old invoice that was just paid will show up based on when it was updated
Where to take your data
Free and cheaper tools that can take a Paddle export. See all Paddle alternatives →
Stripe
Stripe doesn't support direct CSV import of live subscriptions. Use Paddle's transactions and subscriptions CSV reports as a reconciliation reference while you recreate products, prices, and customers in Stripe, and to verify historical revenue after cutover.
Lemon Squeezy
Use the products-and-prices and subscriptions CSV reports as your source list to manually (or via Lemon Squeezy's API) recreate products, prices, and active subscriptions, then use the transactions CSV to reconcile historical revenue.
Gumroad
Export the products-and-prices CSV to rebuild your catalog in Gumroad, and keep the transactions/adjustments CSVs for your own records since Gumroad has no bulk historical-transaction import.
Exporting from Paddle: common questions
Can I export my entire Paddle account in one go?+
No. Paddle doesn't offer a single full-account export. You generate separate CSV reports per data type (transactions, subscriptions, products and prices, discounts, checkouts, adjustments, payout reconciliation) from the Reports screen.
What file format does Paddle export data in?+
CSV only, using UTF-8/Unicode encoding with a comma delimiter. There's no JSON or Excel export option documented.
How long do I have to download a report after generating it?+
14 days. After that the report expires and you'd need to generate it again.
Why is data missing from my report that I know exists in Paddle?+
Report data can be delayed by up to 24 hours, and reports are filtered by last-updated date. If you didn't set a date filter, Paddle defaults to only data updated in the last calendar month.
Can I automate exports instead of clicking through the dashboard?+
Yes. The Paddle API lets you create a report (POST /reports), poll or webhook for its status, then call the download-url endpoint to get a link to the CSV — useful for scheduled exports into a BI tool or data warehouse.
Will the CSV exports help me migrate to another billing provider?+
They give you the raw transaction, subscription, product, and pricing data needed to reconcile history and manually rebuild your catalog elsewhere, but no destination platform offers a one-click import of Paddle's CSV format — you'll need to map the fields yourself or via API.
