How to export your data from ConvertKit
ConvertKit (rebranded as Kit) lets you export your subscriber list as a CSV via a bulk action on the Subscribers page — the file is emailed as a download link within a few minutes. Separately, you can export CSV data from specific Subscribers-page charts (growth, engagement, deliverability, purchases), but there is no single one-click 'export all account data' button covering broadcasts, sequences, forms, or automations.

Step by step
- 1Go to Subscribers using Kit's navigation (app.kit.com/subscribers).
- 2Optional: use the Status filter (e.g. Confirmed subscriber) or open a Segment from the Subscribers sidebar to scope which subscribers you're exporting.
- 3Click the checkbox at the top of the subscriber list to select all subscribers on the current page.
- 4If you have more than 30 subscribers, click the 'Select all' option in the banner that appears — otherwise only the visible page is selected.
- 5Click the three dots (⋮) menu, then choose Export.
- 6Wait for the confirmation modal; large lists can take several minutes before the export email arrives.
- 7Open the export email and click the download link within 5 days — after that you must rerun the export for a new link.
- 8Optional: to export chart data instead, open the relevant tab on the Subscribers page (e.g. Deliverability > Broadcasts), adjust the date range/filters, and use that chart's own Export option.
What the export includes

Before you start
- ⚠Export is CSV-only, delivered as an emailed download link, not an instant in-browser download
- ⚠You must click 'Select all' after the header checkbox or only the current page's subscribers (max 30) will be exported
- ⚠Download links expire after 5 days; you have to rerun the export to get a fresh link
- ⚠Large lists can take several minutes to process before the export email arrives
- ⚠To export by tag, you need to repeat the export separately for each tag/segment since there's no built-in 'export by tag' bulk option beyond running it from within that tag/segment view
- ⚠Only five specific Subscribers-page charts can be exported as CSV, and two of them (Engagement, Deliverability) require the Creator Pro plan

Upload the ConvertKit CSV in MailerLite's subscriber import tool, mapping the Email address, First name, Tags, and custom field columns to MailerLite's fields.
Use Beehiiv's CSV subscriber import to upload the file, mapping email address and any custom fields; tags/segments will need to be recreated manually since ConvertKit's tag structure doesn't map 1:1.

Import the CSV through Buttondown's subscriber import, which accepts an email column plus optional metadata columns for custom fields.
Exporting from ConvertKit: common questions
What file format does ConvertKit export subscribers in?+
CSV only. The file is generated as a background job and emailed to you as a download link rather than downloading instantly in the browser.
Does the export include my tags and custom fields?+
Yes. By default, exports include first name, email address, created date, status, tags, location, attribution data, and custom fields as separate CSV columns.
How long do I have to download my export?+
Download links expire after 5 days. If yours has expired, you need to rerun the export to generate a new link.
Can I export just one tag or segment instead of my whole list?+
Yes. Create a Segment (or use an existing tag view), open it from the Subscribers sidebar, then run the same select-all and Export steps from within that view.
Does exporting subscribers also back up my emails, automations, or forms?+
No. The CSV export only contains subscriber profile data. Broadcast content, sequences, landing pages, forms, and automation logic aren't included and have no single official bulk-export tool.
Do I need to be the account owner to export subscribers?+
No. Any team member can run the export; the download link is emailed to your account's email address and, if you're a team member, also to the account owner.
