How to export your data from Canva
Canva lets you export your personal account data, uploaded images/videos/fonts, and designs as a ZIP archive from Account & security settings; you request the export, wait for a completion email, then download the files within a 14-day window.

Step by step
- 1On the Canva homepage, click your account profile icon to open the menu.
- 2Choose Settings.
- 3Select Account & security.
- 4Go to "Download your Canva uploads and designs" (or "Download your Canva team uploads and designs" if you're a team owner).
- 5Click "Request to download."
- 6Wait for an email from Canva confirming the export is ready — this can take 24–72 hours depending on how much content you have.
- 7Return to the Account & security page and click Download; the link stays active for 14 days.
- 8In the "Your Canva download" window, click each file to download — large accounts are split into multiple files.
What the export includes
- ✓Personal data: first and last name, email, phone number, and profession, if you provided them
- ✓Uploaded images
- ✓Uploaded videos
- ✓Uploaded fonts
- ✓Your Canva designs
What it doesn't include
- ✗Designs that fail to bulk-export — these must be downloaded one by one from the editor
- ✗Team exports for non-owners — only the Team Owner can request a team's uploads and designs
- ✗Anything not covered by the export (billing/invoice history, Brand Kit configuration, comments, and collaboration activity are not mentioned as part of this export)
Before you start
- ⚠Once you request the download, you can't delete your account until the download completes
- ⚠Bulk download of uploads and designs is available on desktop only
- ⚠Export processing takes 24–72 hours depending on content volume; if it takes longer, you need to contact Canva's Help Assistant
- ⚠The download link is only valid for 14 days after it's generated
- ⚠If Canva can't create a copy of everything, you get an email saying so — you then have to check your Projects page and download missing designs individually, and report anything still missing to support within 14 days of receiving the link

Exporting from Canva: common questions
How long does it take to export my data from Canva?+
Canva says exporting your uploads and designs can take 24–72 hours depending on how much content is in your account. If it takes longer, you need to contact Canva's Help Assistant.
How long do I have to download my Canva export before it expires?+
Once your export is ready, the download link is only valid for 14 days.
Can any team member export a team's Canva designs?+
No. If you're part of a team, only the Team Owner can request and download the team's uploads and designs.
What happens if some of my designs are missing from the export?+
Canva will email you if it couldn't create a copy of everything. You then need to check your Projects page for the missing designs, try downloading them individually from the editor, and contact Canva support within 14 days of receiving the download link if they're still missing.
Can I delete my Canva account right after requesting a data export?+
No. Once you request the download, account deletion is blocked until the download completes, so you need to wait it out first.
Can I bulk-export my Canva designs from the mobile app?+
No. Downloading all your uploads and designs in bulk is only available on desktop.
