How to export your data from Brevo
Brevo lets you export your CRM contacts (with their attributes, List IDs, and subscription status) as a CSV file from CRM > Contacts > More actions > Export. Automatic daily exports were deprecated on May 30, 2025, so exports are now a manual, on-demand action that completes in a few minutes and is downloaded from the Notifications bell.
✓ Verified against Brevo's official documentation, October 2026
Step by step
- 1Go to CRM > Contacts in your Brevo dashboard.
- 2Choose which contacts to export: leave no list/segment loaded and no filters applied to export all contacts, or click 'Load a list or segment' and optionally add filters (e.g. subscription status, email activity) to narrow the selection.
- 3Select the contacts: click the checkbox in the CONTACT column, then click 'Select all contacts' at the top right to grab everyone in your database, loaded list, or segment.
- 4Click More actions > Export.
- 5Pick what to include: under Attributes choose the standard/custom fields (EMAIL, LAST CHANGED, and CREATION DATE are selected by default); expand System data to add List ID; expand Subscriptions to add email/SMS marketing subscription status.
- 6Choose your file setup: pick a CSV field separator (semicolon or comma), optionally turn on 'Send export by email', and optionally turn on 'Remember my preferences for next time'.
- 7Click Start export.
- 8Open Notifications (the bell icon next to your account name) and click 'download the file' on the corresponding notification once it's ready; refresh the page if it hasn't appeared yet.
What the export includes
- ✓Standard contact attributes such as email address, phone number, and creation date
- ✓Custom contact attributes you've created
- ✓List ID, if selected under the System data section
- ✓Email and/or SMS marketing subscription status, if selected under the Subscriptions section
What it doesn't include
- ✗This export covers Contacts only — it does not bundle associated Deals, Companies, or Tasks in the same file
- ✗Automatic/scheduled daily exports (deprecated since May 30, 2025) — exports are now manual and one-off, except for Enterprise customers who can use the Customer Data Platform instead
Before you start
- ⚠Daily exports have been deprecated since May 30, 2025; any webhooks or APIs that relied on them will stop working, though previously exported lists remain viewable under CRM > Contacts > Settings > Daily exports.
- ⚠Enterprise users have a Customer Data Platform option as an alternative to the deprecated daily exports.
- ⚠The export process runs in the background and takes a few minutes to complete before it shows up in Notifications.
- ⚠You must select at least one piece of information (an attribute, system data field, or subscription field) before Brevo will let you start the export.
- ⚠You can choose between a semicolon or comma as the CSV field separator, which matters for compatibility with the tool you're importing into.
Where to take your data

Brevo Free Tier
If you're downgrading rather than leaving entirely, re-import the CSV into the same (or a new) Brevo account via CRM > Contacts > Import, mapping each column to the matching contact attribute.
MailerLite
Upload the CSV in MailerLite via Subscribers > Import subscribers, mapping the EMAIL, FIRSTNAME/LASTNAME, and any custom attribute columns to MailerLite's subscriber fields; marketing subscription status will need to be re-checked since Brevo and MailerLite use different consent models.
Exporting from Brevo: common questions
Is exporting contacts from Brevo free?+
Yes — the CRM > Contacts export is a standard feature available on any Brevo plan, not gated behind a paid tier.
What format does Brevo export contacts in?+
CSV only, with your choice of a semicolon or comma as the field separator.
Can I still set up automatic/scheduled exports?+
No. Brevo deprecated daily exports on May 30, 2025. Enterprise customers can use the Customer Data Platform as an alternative; everyone else needs to run a manual export each time.
Can I export deals and companies along with my contacts in one file?+
The documented export flow covers Contacts only (attributes, List ID, subscription status). Deals and Companies are separate CRM objects and are not bundled into the same contacts export file.
How long does a Brevo export take and where do I get the file?+
It takes a few minutes to process. You download it from the Notifications bell icon next to your account name — refresh the page if the notification doesn't show up right away.
Will my subscription status carry over when I import into another tool?+
You can include email/SMS marketing subscription status in the Brevo export, but you'll need to manually map it to the equivalent consent/status field in whatever platform you import into, since consent models differ between ESPs.
